Teenage Health Fair

On Wednesday 25th February, the Year 11s attended the 'Teenage Kicks Health Fair' at Bangor Library. Organised by LibrariesNI and the North Down Borough Council, it offered a unique opportunity to raise awareness for teenagers on a range of youth-related issues including self-esteem, health and well-being, exam pressure, sexual health, mental health, alcohol and drugs misuse, internet safety and health and beauty.

As you will see from the photographs, the interactive activities and exhibitions from groups such as the PSNI and FASA afforded the boys an excellent opportunity to be made aware of the health and social issues affecting people of their age in today’s society.

Notwithstanding the serious messages that were being conveyed at the fair, a lot of fun was had as well!
