Well done to all those boys who played in cricket fixtures against Inst last week. Unfortunately Inst were too strong this time. The 1st XI did have a good win!
BGS 110 for 6 off 30 overs. (Taj Onyekwelu 52, Ross Miller 15, Chris Erskine 10)
Inst 84 all out off 27 overs (Daniel Robinson 2 for 13, Ross Miller 3 for 12)
This was an excellent win. The bowling fielding and catching were of an excellent standard.
Congratulations to the Year 9 Athletics team who finished 4th in yesterday’s district team competition.
Congratulations to the U13 and U14 cricket teams who progress to the next round of the cup and plate respectively. The U13s beat Ballyclare High School by 54 runs thanks largely to Alex McIlmail’s 85 and Adam Simmonite’s 60 not out. The U14s defeated Foyle by 43 runs. Zach Kerr top scored with a well played 54 not out, while Adam Bell, Conor Cox and Kai McPeak took 3 wickets each. Well done to both teams who have played fantastically well so far and we wish them well in their next games away to Methody and Campbell B’s.
Congratulations to Aaron Sexton and Josh Majury who have been selected to represent Co Down in the Year 9 Inter District Team Competition on Thursday 12 June.
