Cricket results from the holiday: The 1st XI played two matches against very strong opposition during the holiday.

BRA 140 for 5 in 25 overs

(Ross Miller bowled an excellent spell)

Taj Onyekwelu 35.

BRA won by 36 runs

Catholic University School (Dublin) 198 from 30 overs.

(Ross Miller, Ross Martin and Luke McWatters all bowled good spells)

BGS 89 all out

(James Griffin 17)

BGS lost by 99 runs.

Well done to those who played and particularly to the younger boys who made their debuts for the 1stXI.

Hard luck to the U15 Cricket team who lost their cup match to Down High School on Tuesday.   Chris Connolly top scored with 44 runs, while Olly Ward claimed two wickets.  Unfortunately this was not enough to prevent the opposition winning by 6 wickets.

Calum McKechnie of Year 12 has been on target again! Over Easter, he won 1st place at the Dungannon Spring Open and had 2 First place finishes in the Winter league. At the British Schools Smallbore Rifle Association event, Calum’s team placed third which means that they will now compete at the European Championships in August. Well done Calum!

Hard luck to the 1st XI cricket team who were defeated by 6 wickets by a very strong Limavady side on Wednesday.
