IET Faraday Engineering Challenge Day

IET Faraday Engineering Challenge Day, run by The Institution of Engineering and Technology.  This year it was hosted at Queens University Belfast, and we entered a team of six Year 9 pupils.

The event gives students the opportunity to research, design and make solutions to engineering problems, and involves team working and presentation tasks.  This year the boys worked as a project design team tasked with improving cycling safety, and performed very well.  They designed and produced a prototype product using CAD software and a 3D printer.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience and PM Ben Emerson got a special mention in the prize-giving for his exceptional Project Management skills.
