Future School Leaders Graduate
Two senior members of the School's staff 'graduated' successfully from the programme to support the development of future educational leaders and achieved the Professional Qualification for Headship, Northern Ireland (PQH NI). Mrs Elizabeth Huddleson, the Pastoral Vice-Principal, and Dr Sam Stevenson, former Head of ICT, Head of Year and Senior Timetabler, worked hard over two years to develop their strategic and leadership skills, leading major school projects and subjecting themselves to rigorous assessments. Mrs Huddleson finished her work in Campbell College before coming to Bangor Grammar School to assume her new post. Dr Stevenson has led the way in establishing new systems of target-setting and benchmarking performance which has already had a significant impact on raising levels of academic performance in the middle school. Their certificates were presented to them in the Ramada Hotel, Shaw's Bridge on Wednesday 4 February by the Minister of Education, Mrs Caitriona Ruane.
The School offers its warmest congratulations to Mrs Huddleson and Dr Stevenson.
