Bangor Grammar School Chamber Choir
It’s been a really busy month for the chamber choir, with performances at our own spring concert here in school, the ‘Raise the Roof’ concert organised by the Bangor Rotary Club, and the Bangor International Choral Festival earlier this week. The final performance of the academic year, was definitely the highlight. It was our first ever entry into the festival, and not only did we win the Grammar School class, but went on to compete for the ‘George Best Belfast City Airport cup for the best senior school choir in the festival and won it as well! With stunning performances of Eric Whitacre’s ‘Sleep’ and Ed Lojeski’s arrangement of ‘Good Vibrations’, this success was well deserved. Thanks to Johnny Mason (Yr 13) for his wonderful solo and Jack Riordan (Yr 13) for his super accompanying skills. It’s been a busy but productive year and we have certainly ended it on a high note!
