2014 BGS has Talent

The Talent Show took place in front of a packed audience of 300, the largest turn out we have ever had. Teddy Pilgrim and Matthew Murphy were the hosts with Mr Greer, Mr Gray and Mrs Huddleson as our discerning Judges. The acts included a Diablo Thrower, a Bagpipe player, a Pianist, Singer songwriters, An Impressionist and a Junior Singer and the standard was incredibly high making the audience’s decision, as to the winners, a very tough one. The Staff also took part with a Staff Band before the interval and while the votes were being counted Mr Stevenson sang and played the piano. Continuing on with the tradition, our last act of the night was the Year 14 act which did not disappoint at all and was quite a sight to be seen! Our winners, as voted for by the audience, were Mark Trimble of Year 8 for his amazing rendition of Adele’s Skyfall, and Connor Black of Year 14 for his chosen medley of songs on the piano. It was a fantastic night which raised £1114.10 for The Marcus and Amanda Memorial Fund and Shellie, Amanda’s sister, was with us on the night and spoke of the work that the charity is continuing to do in Marcus and Amanda’s memory.
