2012 London Trip

Year 13/14 students have returned exhausted and inspired  from the recent Drama/Art trip to London. During a whirlwind tour of London lasting three days, the boys managed to pack in a range of unforgettable theatrical shows in London’s West end. From the terrifying ‘Woman in Black’, starring former BGS pupil Adam Best, to a raucous open-air production of Shakespeare’s ‘Taming of the Shrew’ at the Globe Theatre, the boys experienced world-class theatre at its finest. Before attending the National Theatre’s production of War Horse, the boys participated in an amazing physical  workshop with one of the animal puppeteers from the show. The Art students visited some of the most prestigious art galleries in London, including the critically-acclaimed Pre-Raphaelite exhibition at Tate Britain. At all times, the behaviour and attitude of the boys was exemplary and reflected a true sense of school spirit.  Well done to everyone involved in what turned out to be one of the most memorable and successful school visits in recent years.
