Head Boy & Deputy Heads
The Head Boy is selected each year to be the leader of his Year Group and to be a prime example, to the rest of the school, of the best qualities of a Bangor Grammar student. The role requires the person to take on many responsibilities and, as such, the student must be academically able in order to handle the added requirements on his time. Responsibilities include: speaking at public events such as speech-day, organising year group events, liaising with the principal, leading the school council etc. Most importantly, the student selected should display strong personal qualities of leadership, humility, kindness, fairness and enthusiasm; a person that younger students in the school would aspire to be like. The Head Boy’s deputies should also display the same qualities and are there to support and aid the Head Boy to carry out his duties.
